Condolence & Memory Journal

Aunt Lois!

"At the end of the day, people won't remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel."

Thank you for making me feel loved and accepted my whole life! As a child I felt so lucky that you opened your home to me in the summer and let me stay for weeks at a time and become like one of your kids! I remember asking you if I could call you 'Mom' one year and of course you willingly agreed! Thank you for teaching me and Nancy the duet song "You're just in Love" (after all these years we sing it every time we see each other!), letting me trim your bangs when I was 12 and style your gorgeous red hair in your pink living room ( I felt so accomplished after that,) showing me how to cut a tomato without a cutting board, turning me on to the Carpenters and Simon and Garfunkle, and making steamed clams. These things will always remind me of you!

Mostly, thank you for the example of patience and perseverance that you so graciously modeled to all of us throughout each stage and circumstance of your life.

To my awesome cousins....I love you all and I know you are comforted in the knowledge that your precious mother is in the much deserved presence of the Lord. My family's prayers are with you always.

We were so sad to learn of Lois' passing. She was a generous, remarkable woman, dedicated to her family through any circumstances, and they to her. Like so many who knew her, we miss her deeply.

I will remember Aunt Lois for her fierce loyalty to her family, her kindness to my parents, her devotion to God and her gracious acceptance of the frailties of life!
God speed Aunt Lo! Until we meet again!

To the Vallese Family,
You remain in our thoughts and prayers!
