Speas, Anne (NEE Frederick), 97 - of Sea Isle City, NJ, formerly of Woodlynne, Camden County, NJ; passed away peacefully on May 24th, 2018 in Vero Beach, FL with her family at her side. Anne, born Sept. 18, 1920 in Camden, NJ, graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 1938. Anne belonged to numerous organizations where she served in various leadership roles both in Woodlynne and Sea Isle City. They included the Woodlynne PTA, the Woodlynne Fire Ladies Auxiliary, The Altar and Rosary Society, The Sea Isle Questers, The Beachcombers, the AARP, the Sea Isle Historical Society and numerous other organizations. Anne is predeceased by her husband, William H. Speas, her daughter Janet Rittner and her brother Paul Frederick.
She is survived by her three sons; William (Lynn) of Oriental, NC, Paul of Sebastian, FL and Wildwood Crest, NJ, and Dennis (Patti) of Mount Laurel, NJ and 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. Joseph Church, 43rd St. and Landis Ave., Sea Isle, NJ 08243. Viewing will be from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the VNA Hospice House, 1110-35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
