HATCHER, CHRISTINA S., 72, of Whitesboro, NJ, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018. Born on October 7, 1945 in Atlantic City to the late Raymond and Katherine Johnson Saunders, she was a longtime resident of this area. She was a habilitation plan coordinator (HPC) at Woodbine Developmental Center for over 25 years and a published poet.

Christina served the Lord with all of her heart. She was a member of St. Stephen's AME Church, where she served as a missionary, a trustee, an usher, and a steward. She was also a volunteer at Cape Regional Medical Center, President of the Cape May County chapter of the NAACP, a member of the Concerned Citizens of Whitesboro, Secretary for the Cape May County chapter of AARP, a member of the Cape May County Flower Club, and a former 4-H Leader. Through all of her community activity, her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends.

Christina is survived by her daughters, Tanya (Wayne Sr.) Lennon and Alicia (Dwight) Cooper; her son, Dr. Gary E. Woodlin, Sr.; her mother in love, Alyce J. English; her brothers, Major Clifford (Barbara) Saunders and Lee (Felicia) English; her sisters, Camille Pierce and Kelly Jo (Warren) Alston; her seven grandchildren, Christina, Thomas, Wayne, Gary, Maniah, Christian, and Demi; her ten great grandchildren; her brother in law, James (Sonja) Pierce; her sisters in law, Helen Saunders, Cheryl Lee-Stroud, and Bettie Saunders; and a host of nieces and nephews including her special niece, Necheala Pierce Shelton.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Gospel Love Center, 2209 Route 9 South, Whitesboro, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Household of Ruth Cemetery, Whitesboro.
