Elvin Haskins Jr., 83 – of Cape May Court House, NJ passed away April 24, 2017 at Cape Regional Medical Center.

Elvin was retired Air Force serving in Korea and Vietnam. Having served 20 years to his country, Elvin retired to start a new career at Lenox China, after earning his bachelor's degree from Stockton College. Elvin spent his years reaffirming his dedication to God. He went to seminary college and became a deacon in His church, the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Cape May Court House. He was active in church functions until his health would no longer allow him to take part in church activities.

Elvin is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Gloria J. Haskins. He leaves to mourn his three sons: Elvin and wife Catherine, Calvin Haskins and Edwin Haskins and wife Nancy Elliot-Haskins; five grandchildren: Joseph Elvin Haskins, Michael Allen Haskins and Aaron Robert Haskins, Malcolm Paulston, Victoria Stottlemeyer; Six great-grandchildren: Alexia Renee Haskins, Michael Allen Haskins Jr, Lahtel Kaz'mer Haskins, Allen Isaiah Haskins and Marcus Barnes, Elliana West; Sister Marion Haskins Bohannon Gibson and niece Chantae Bohannon-Mangum; 4 sisters-in-law: Leola Francis, Hazel Lawson, Rhoda Williams, Juanita Preston; and 4 Brothers-in-law: Matthew Francis, James Francis, Peter Francis and Joseph Francis; along with a host of grand nieces and nephews, cousins and other relations.
Funeral service will be Saturyday, April 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 46 East Atlantic Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Interment in Cape May County Veterans Cemetery.
