Tilsner, Gustav H., - 84 of Rio Grande, NJ, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018. Born in Philadelphia to the late Gustav and Margaret Fairburn Tilsner, he moved to Rio Grande 22 years ago after living in Wildwood and Philadelphia. He served in the US Navy Reserves from 1951 to 1959 and owned Gus's Auto Parts in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. He was a member of the VFW, DAV, and American Legion. He enjoyed boating and fishing.
Mr. Tilsner is survived by his wife of 66 years, Phyllis; his sons, Mark (Pam) Tilsner and Gus (Donna) Tilsner; his six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; his brother, Michael Fekete; and his sister Lynn Contino.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Viewing will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. and service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund, PO Box 41, Avalon, NJ 08202.
