Johnny Fred Brooks was called home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2017. Born on January 9, 1978 to the late Sindora Sweeten and Johnny Washington in Philadelphia, PA, Johnny spent his early years with his mother and aunt Pam. Johnny lived in Whitesboro, NJ before moving with his adopted family Andre and Gloria Hodges where Johnny attended Middle Township schools. Johnny was a member and drummer for the Interdenominational Outreach Choir. Johnny worked for Ambassador Pools.

Johnny leaves to mourn a son, Anthony Andrade, stepson Che Harris, daughter Telyjah Thompson, daughter Trinity Brooks and her mother Stacey Harris; his brother Michael Burton and adopted brother Andre Hodges, Jr.; adopted sisters Andrea Davis and Crystal Holmes; stepsister Tasha Stephenson, Aunt Pamela Heggs, adopted mother Gloria Hodges; lifelong friends Charles Ginyard and Bernette Harrison; and a host of family and friends. He was predeceased in by his mother Sindora Sweeten, adopted father Andre Hodges, and sister Ivette Travis

Funeral service will be held Saturday March 18,2017 at Christ Gospel Church, 2209 Route 9 South, Whitesboro NJ 08252. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. and service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
