Joseph S. Bakanowsky, 83 - of Cape May Court House, NJ passed away May 22, 2018. He was born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph and Mary Bakanowsky. Joe served in the US Marines as a Drill Sergeant on Parris Island. He later worked as a Casino Dealer and Pit Boss at Caesars in Atlantic City since the day it opened as Caesars Boardwalk Regency. He was predeceased by his wife Joan (formerly Passehl), son Joe Bakanowsky, brother Phil Bakanowsky, and sister Monica Veblin.

Joseph is survived by his daughter, Karen Buckingham and her husband Layne Russell Buckingham, and son Mark Bakanowsky; as well as 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Memorial Service will follow at 3 p.m. Interment will be at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
