THOMPSON, RICHARD JOHN, 75, of Dennis Township, NJ, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018. Born in Camden, NJ to the late Robert Leslie Thompson and Virginia Matilda Falkinburg Thompson, he was raised in Barnegat and was a longtime resident of Dennis Township. He was shop steward at the Acme in Cape May Court House and Seaville and was a member of the UFCW Union.

Rich was a member of Seaville United Methodist Church, where he was a lay speaker and choir member. He enjoyed watching baseball especially his beloved New York Yankees as well as traveling and spending time with his family.

Rich is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lillian Carol Thompson; his sons, David (Crystal), Michael (Lora), and John (Kathy); his brother, Robert (Gladys); his sister, Judy Brydon; his eight grandchildren, Tucker, Grace, Ike, Tanner, Shane, Orion (Brenda), Angel (Brandon), and Michaela (Darik); his several great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Seaville United Methodist Church, 3100 Shore Road, Seaville, NJ 08230, where visitation will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment in the church cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Points of Light Fund at the Seaville United Methodist Church.
