Rita M. Green (Cardona) passed away peacefully on February 23rd, 2018 in Cape May Court House surrounded by her loving family. She celebrated her 94th birthday on Feb. 9th in the Florida Keys. Rita was born in Philadelphia to John and Maria Francesca Cardona, and was a 1941 graduate of J.W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School. She is predeceased by Richard, her loving husband of 58 years, her sister Amelia Vagnoni and brother John Cardona.
Rita is survived by three daughters Valerie Williams (Joe), Andrea Bry (Michael) and Carla Schettini (Stephen), two granddaughters Alexandra Schettini and Devon Bry and her devoted, extended family.
Rita had a successful real estate career in Sea Isle City. She was a member of Our Lady of Angels R.C. Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Sea Isle City Garden Club, Magnolia Lake Questers, and part of a long-standing card club. She was also an accomplished artist having won numerous awards in the Cape May County Senior Art Show.
Rita was extremely proud of her Italian heritage. She will be remembered for living life to the fullest, her deep faith, devotion to family and endless gratitude.
Public viewing will be Friday, March 2, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Viewing will also be Saturday, March 3 from 9:00 to 9:45 at Our Lady Of The Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic St., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery.
