MARRINER, ROBERT A., 70, of Rio Grande, NJ, passed away suddenly of an aneurysm on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 surrounded by his family at Cooper University Hospital. Born in North Wildwood, NJ to the late Odis James and Margaret Mary Thompson Marriner, he was a lifetime resident of this area.

A man of strong faith, Bob was a former member of St. Raymond Church and presently an active member of Our Lady of the Angels Church in Cape May Court House. He was a Eucharistic Minister for 35 years and served in the Knights of Columbus. He was past president of the parish council at St. Raymond Church.

Bob had a marine electrical service for over 35 years. He formed strong relationships with many of the fisherman and was well respected in the entire industry. A man with a kind heart and a gentle soul, he was always helping other people, even in death, donating his organs. He was a man of many words and loved conversation. Animals always seemed to find him as an animal lover. He was a father to many of the neighborhood kids growing up. He was a Model A enthusiast and loved his sweets, but his greatest enjoyment came from being "Pop" to his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara A. Devlin Marriner; his children, Colleen Marriner, Bryan (Ashlee) Marriner, and Paul (Jackie) Marriner; his brothers and sister, Joseph Marriner, Frank Marriner, Charles Marriner, and Peggy Bailey; his three grandchildren, Gavin, Jase, and Allison; his nieces and nephews; and his great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Billy Marriner and his sister, Elizabeth Acevedo.

Funeral Mass will be said on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Goshen. Donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Hope and Help Outreach at Our Lady of the Angels Church.
