Robert E. Heaton, 67, of Wildwood Crest, NJ, passed away on the morning of September 26, 2018. He was born in Weehawken, NJ on April 13, 1951 to the late Amy and James Scavo. Robert moved to the area 6 years ago after retiring from managing Bond Drugs in Jersey City.

Robert was an avid sports fan. He loved watching the NY Yankees, Boston Celtics, NY Giants, and college sports. He was a member of The Courts, Jersey City, a sports club that also does fundraisers. He graduated from Dickinson High school, where he played football and basketball, and from Jersey City State College with a degree in international business. Robert also enjoyed The Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffett, antique cars, and Margaritas.

Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine; his daughter Kelly Catherine; his son Patrick John-James; his brother in law John Smits; his cousin Ruth McCormick; and his beloved cats Cachine, Barney, and Alphonse.

Memorial service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ, where visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's name through In Memory Of for the benefit of the Shriner's Hospital of Philadelphia at or by mailing a check made payable to In Memory Of, PO Box 5472, Charlottesville, VA 22905.
