Army Emblem

William E. Brown was born January 22, 1930 in Woodbine, New Jersey to Charles and Anna May Brown. He passed away at Cape Regional Medical Center on April 24, 2017 surrounded by family. He was educated in the Woodbine School System.

William worked in construction most of his life. He was a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the VFW in Lower Township.

William loved to fish and was an avid reader. He could always be found with a book in his hands.

William is survived by his wife of ten years, JoAnn Martin Brown; and his children, Lydia Hatcher (Andrew), Joanne Smith, Anna May Brown (Annie), William Brown Jr., Leslie Brown and Andrew Brown; four sisters, Sarah Porter, Rose Hamer (Donald), Dora Dixon (Irving), Nancy Ginyard; and one brother, Louis Brown (Victoria); as well as stepchildren, (Valentine Family) grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

William is predeceased by his parents Charles and Anna May Brown, one sister Margaret Brown, and four brothers, Thomas Price, Henry Brown, Richard Brown, and Frank Brown.

Public viewing will be Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ.
